A little cutie!

Hello all - where did the last couple of weeks go?  We just seem to have quite a few things going on at the moment, and sometimes I think I just need to step back and take deep breaths. Last weekend we waved bye bye to youngest as he set off to Lyon in France for a week on his school French exchange.  And one of my colleagues at work has also been away, so it has felt strangely quiet at home and work!  Much as I might complain sometimes about the mess (not to mention the guitar playing, wet towel trail across the landing, plates and bowls disappearing from the kitchen and reappearing in a certain teenager's bedroom, and the constant stream of taxi duties), we have missed him really lol!  But he's back tomorrow (with a suitcase full of laundry no doubt!) and it'll be lovely to have him home in the nest again!

But I did find time in the last week to make a card using a super-cute image called 'Sweet Sparkle' from Sylvia Zet at Wee Stamps. I've coloured the image with copics and graphit pens, and a touch of glamour dust for the sparkle!

The backing paper and sentiment stamp are from LOTV, and I've used a LaLaLand banner die, Marianne flower dies and Poppystamps leaf die.
Hope you like her too!
And I've been busy with the yarn, making knockers for Knitted Knockers! Please have a look at their website HERE - and pass the word on!

Another crochet project at the moment is a baby boy blanket, with some lush shades of soft blues, teals and silvers, in a snuggly ripple pattern

I'll share 'Ta-Dah' pics when it's finished!

I hope you enjoy your weekend - whatever you have planned.
Back soon,

Trying some CAS..

Time seems to be flying by so fast at the moment. 1st March already? Happy St David's Day! It's definitely been on the chilly side but it's nice that the mornings and evenings are getting just that little bit lighter and I am soooo looking forward to the clocks changing at the end of this month!  I don't seem to have had much crafty time this last week or so, and things seem to be busy at home and work. But I'm still busy with my crocheting - and currently making another order for Knitted Knockers!  Please do have a look at their website here - and spread the word to all women you know! The link to their page is HERE.  And it's nice to use my crochet addiction to help other women.

Anyway, I did have chance to make a CAS birthday card - something that I find difficult to do lol!  I always feel the urge to add other bits and pieces - and it's something of a strain to stop myself getting giddy with embellishments!

I used a digi stamp from DigiStamp Boutique, coloured with copics and backing paper from K&Co.

I also have a pic of some recent crocheting - a couple of teachers at school (ones who teach my son!), have recently become parents, and I think it's nice to give a little handmade gift.  This is a little set of hat & socks that were for one of my son's French teachers on the arrival of his daughter Lucie!

I've used a lovely Stylecraft variegated yarn, with a hat pattern made up as I go along!

Two of my friends are becoming grandparents in the next few months so I'm busy with more baby gifts.....

I hope to find a little bit of free time to catch up with blogs and crafting over the next few days!
Back soon,
