Springtime!

I'm back again because it's time for a new challenge over at Totally Papercrafts. This week it's the turn of Team A - and it's Yours Truly who's hosting the challenge this week. I've picked a nice easy one for everyone this week - Make Your Own Embellishments!

We've got two sponsors this week
  and

so I've used a gorgeous Saturated Canary digi stamp called 'Springtime'

I've coloured her with promarkers, with some chalks for the sky background and a little pencil for some details

The backing papers are from Teresa Collins and First Edition, with coredinations card. I've used a Marianne swirl die cut and then punched flowers with Tonic punches, with pearl drops in the middle.
So do pop over to the Totally Papercrafts challenge and have a look at the fantastic DT inspiration and then join us for the challenge!
Back soon,
Kim  x

I'm entering this card into the following challenges:-
DigiStamps4Joy - anything goes
PennysChallenges - for the girls
PrettyLittleRibbon challenge - ribbon & flowers
CraftyRibbons - anything goes with ribbon
PlayDateCafe - longing for spring

  10. Hi Kim, wow I don't get by for a few days and you've made loads of gorgeous cards! Don't know how you find the time to make so many and all so lovely as well!!

Really sweet image on this one, and love your colour choices - really spring-like and cheerful.

I'm also popping back to let you know my blonde hair colouring combo. I use (going light to dark, as that's how I colour) buttercup, ivory, mustard and raw sienna. I have to confess it's not a combo I made up, but saw someone, somewhere, use. Tried it myself and really liked the results, so it's my 'go to' combo for blondes now.

I'm still struggling with black hair, it either looks washed out or the black doesn't blend well. But I'll get there in the end!! If you ever fancy trying a red-hair combo I use this one all the time - honeycomb, spice, burnt orange and henna.

Hope the info is of some help.

  11. Aaah and I should say, I've started using the fine tips on my pros for hair-colouring - I find it helps to give a more natural look which I like at the moment.

Before that I'd blended and blended for years to get a smooth gradual change of colour on hair. How tastes change, eh!!
