A little black and cream

Hello all and hope that you had a lovely Easter weekend - with some sunshine, goodies to eat and plenty of relaxation time too!  We were very lucky with the weather which stayed reasonably good, and a lovely sunny day yesterday. which was good as we ended up having quite a gathering with friends here for an afternoon tea!  At least we could make good use of the new garden furniture lol.  But apart from the usual conveyor belt of cooking and washing up which seems to happen when I've got a house full of people, I've been rather stressed and worried.  Tilly the Dog isn't so good at the moment and is having problems with mobility and keeps stumbling and falling over as if her front left leg keeps giving way.  We had her to the vet on Saturday again, with some blood tests and examinations done. They seem to think it's a neurological problem so we'll see our usual vet tomorrow to discuss options, etc.  So although we're all a bit upset and worried (well, in my case, VERY worried!) we did point out that at least it suggests that Tilly does have a brain because we had questioned the existence of one at times.... lol! So I'll try not to panic too much until we get some results back and talk things over with the vet.

Anyway, just thought I'd share a couple of cards made with a 'black & cream' card collection from Kanban that I was given. I don't normally use kits as I find them harder to use and have a complete inspiration absence. But this was such nice card that I thought I'd have a play and make a couple of simple cards

On this one I've used the card, with a Spellbinders die (cut up!) for the corners and some gold ribbon from stash (which I've a feeling came from a box of chocolates at Christmas - crafters never throw anything away!).

On this one I've added some Spellbinder blossom die cuts with metal brad centres, and some black & gold ribbon from stash.

Hope you like them!
I hope that you have a good week - I'm back at work today and I've a feeling it'll be a busy week!
I will try to get round to blogs this week - and I would just like to say a big thank you for all the lovely comments that you leave, they really mean so much.
Take care,
Kim x

I'm entering the second card into the following challenges:-
