And on the theme of gardening, I made the following card for my lovely sister-in-law, whose birthday was last week
I've used the lovely 'April' from Mo Manning and coloured her with copics and Graphit pens
The papers are from LOTV, and I've added some stitching and flowers from WOC (with a touch of Stickles). The die cut leaves are from Poppystamps and there is the DooHickey 'lovely fence'. The sentiment stamps are from LOTV.
And the inside decorated to match.
And just to explain the blog title a bit more! This weekend there has been a Vintage Weekend at Morecambe, with lots of vintage fashions, stalls, cars, etc., but I was more interested in this afternoon when there was to be a fly-past by the two remaining Lancaster Bombers. We watched these from home, we could hear them approaching (such a deep rumble!) and then they appeared! My son took this photo from our garden
Such a great sight to see!
And I did mention a couple of posts ago that I'd been relocating all my crafty stash to our little bedroom now that our daughter has moved out (and our son has claimed ownership of her much larger room!). So this is what the crafty space is looking like at the moment
And I must admit it's so nice to have my own little space for playing in! (But you can't see the drawers underneath that are full of papers!)
Anyway, apologies for a rather long and waffling post - but nothing new there really lol!
Back soon,
Kim x

ReplyDeleteThe lancasters were over in N. Ireland today too, but unfortunately they came direct and not via the airport so we didn't see them :(
A lovely card Kim, beautifully coloured and the design is smashing. I love your new craft space, am very jealous as I'd love a little space indoors instead of the bottom of the garden in my shed! x

A fabulous card Kim. Gorgeous image. It doesn't take long does it for us to move into our children's room haha. Unfortunately I had to move back out as mine had to come home for a while. I'm sure it won't be long until I get my craft room back though x

I just adore that little gardener from Mo. Your colors and coloring are wonderful. I always enjoy seeing the old planes too. We live near an air base that has shows fairly often. I especially like it when they've booked the aerobatic teams. I imagine when my daughter vacates I'll claim her room for my crafts too, but I'm not rushing it. :-) Hugs!
ReplyDeleteSuch a gorgeous card Kim I am sure your S.I.L. adored it, why wouldn't she? Your son is a good photographer this photo is fab. Love how your craft room is shaping up.
