A very girly pink!

Good morning all in Blogland and I hope that the weekend was a good one for you! It's Monday again - can't believe how quickly it comes around. A slightly chaotic weekend for us - my son is heading to France with school on Tuesday night so we've been trying to get his stuff together (harder than you might suppose, trying to keep a 13 year olds attention on boring stuff like clothes, etc., when he could be on his xbox/computer/skateboard/playing football.....). I don't know whether to feel more sorry for France or the teachers that are accompanying 72 boys....! And we're getting a carpet fitted & a new bed in my daughter's room. Isn't it strange how when one room is getting sorted it means that the rest of the house ends up in complete chaos? And if things are chaotic my stress levels rise dramatically! Thanks heavens for crafting - that is guaranteed to help me relax (well, most of the time lol!).
Anyway, enough of my waffling! Today's card is a vision in pink! I made this for my son to give to Lauren my daughter who will be 19 on Friday! I can't possibly be the mother of a 19 year old! I'm only 23! Lol! And it's my lovely step-daughter Lucy's birthday on Thursday - but as she's over 21 now I feel I can't divulge her age! So many birthdays in July!
This card was a 'Wee Digital Stamp' called Peggy and she has the most lovely expression!

I've coloured her with promarkers and the backing paper is from First Edition 'Birdsong' pad matted onto coredinations card.

I've embossed the middle panel with CraftsToo folder and added lace from stash. the flowers (with a little added stickles!) are from Wild Orchid and I've used a Marianne hearts die cut. The tag also has a heart die cut & sheer ribbon from Joanna Sheen.

For a change I decided to do an easel card and the little gold charm is also from Wild Orchid.
Hope you like her!  I've just got to get Jack to write the card before he heads off across the Channel - and make sure he writes something nice (rather than the usual affectionate insults that they trade with one another!).  Teenagers! Ho hum!
And can I just say a HUGE thank you to everyone who has been leaving such nice, supportive comments on my blog. I can't tell you how much they are appreciated!
Back soon, Kim x
