Back From Holiday!

Good afternoon all and hope that your week is going well? I'm back in Blogland again after a week's holiday in the (very hot) sunshine of Santorini - an absolutely beautiful little Greek island! It's a gorgeous place, with classic 'Greek' views of cliff tops, turquoise blue sea, blue & white buildings, etc.  We had a very relaxing week, enjoying the sun, good food and stunning scenery - in fact, I'd almost forgotten what a cloud looked like until we arrived back at Manchester airport last night! Temperatures have been in the mid- to high 30s - so it definitely feels on the fresher side here at home although thankfully the sun is shining today (so at least I can get the washing dry lol!).  I love going on holiday and love coming home again afterwards - just not the unpacking, tidying, laundry, etc.! Ho hum!
A couple of views of Thira (or 'Fira', however you wish to spell it!)

Anyway, I'm looking forward to spending some time over the next few days catching up with everyone's blogs - and getting all my craft stuff out again and playing!
But for now I thought I'd share a card with you that I made for someone I've been friends with for many years.  Her daughter recently gave birth to a little girl - and they've called her Grace (such a lovely name). It feels so strange as I was staying with Liz when she went into labour with her daughter Hannah and then visited her in hospital when Hannah was a day old! And now over 24 years later it's Hannah who's had baby Grace - doesn't time just fly? I'm so looking forward to going to Manchester to visit them and have a baby cuddle! We've been joking about Liz being able to enter the 'glamorous granny' competitions now, so the sentiment seemed appropriate!

I've used the Mo Manning digi stamp - 'spit happens' - and coloured it with promarkers and pencils, and lightly distressed the edges. The backing papers are from Nitwit.

I've used a Tonic floral border punch and Spellbinders 'Persian motifs' die for the corners. The sentiment is printed from the 'puter! Then just added some ribbons and buttons and pearls from my stash.
Quite a cutie!

So, apologies for the rather long and waffling post. I look forward to strolling round Blogland again and catching up with everyone. And a big thank you to all the new followers who've joined my rather rambling blog and crafty creations - and for all the lovely supportive comments you leave, they really mean so much!
Back soon,
Kim x
