When I'm 64....!

Yes, it's me again! As it's Friday it's time for a new challenge over at Totally Papercrafts. We had some great entries last week - so do join us again this week for a really great challenge chosen by Susan - 'Inspired by a song'!

So, I got my thinking cap on (a rare occurrence according to my husband!) and came up with this

Aren't they the loveliest pair! This is a digi stamp from the great Mo Manning - and these two, 'Tom & Tilly', just melted my heart!  And so The Beatles song 'When I'm 64' sprang to mind - 

"will you still be sending me a Valentine? Birthday greetings, bottle of wine"!

I've coloured them with promarkers & pencils, with some chalk for the clouds in the background - although with my dodgy camera skills I'm afraid they don't show up too well! I've tried to keep to a fairly muted colour palette, with soft shades.

The backing paper is from Teresa Collins, with flowers from Wild Orchid. The die cut leaves are Poppystamps 'meadow leaf' and the sentiment is a Whimsy stamp with the ticket die cut.  Then I just added a length of bakers twine and a button.  Quite simple really, but I hope you like it.
