Enjoying Girlie Time!

Hello all and hope that your week has started well? And can I just say a big hello & thank you to my new followers - I'm so flattered that you talented crafters out there are actually interested in following my crafting exploits (along with the more mundane family-life waffle!). And the comments & feedback I receive from you is just fantastic - so a big thank you!
Can't believe that it's Monday again - why do the weekends seem to pass so much quicker than weekdays? But thankfully the sun is shining here today which always makes a Monday feel that much better. I'm pleased that I don't work on a Monday which gives me time to tidy the house after a weekend full of bodies. Tilly the Dog & Grumpy Poppy just look incredibly bored while I'm tidying up - until the vacuum cleaner appears! At which point Poppy decides the best policy is to make a run for it (and hide under a bed upstairs - mum never vacuums under there lol!) and Tilly follows me like a stalker just in case I take the the suction pipe off - and then barks like mad! I mean I know she's silly.  She never barks at anyone coming to the door - the only time she barks is at the pipe on the vacuum cleaner and the rotary washing line! Heaven help the burglar coming to our house armed with a rotary washing line......

Anyway, enough of stupid pet talk! Today's card has one of my favourite cutie stamps on from LOTV - 'coffee break'.

I'm a firm believer that one of the greatest pleasures is to spend time with a good friend over a coffee & cake! And thankfully my daughter Lauren & her friends seem to have adopted this policy this summer and are following suit!

I've coloured these girls with promarkers and pencils.  The backing papers are from the absolutely scrummy new range of pads from LOTV/NitWit - they really are lovely!
The frame and backing sheet is pearlised paper from Crafters Companion, using a Spellbiners 'lattice motifs' die.  The flowers are from WOC and the ribbon from Joanna Sheen. The sentiment is from an old set of stamps from HeroArts, and the bling from my stash!

Hope you like this cute pair!
Back soon, Kim x

I'm entering this card into the following challenges:-
Card Cupids - anything goes
Crafters Companion - best friends

Beautiful card Kim, my mojo is completely gone at the moment so I'm insanely jealous of your crafting ability right now :P The layout is gorgeous and I love the colours, those papers are a treat, can't wait to save up enough pennies to buy them!! That image is one of my favourite too, I haven't coloured it for a while though, so must do that sometime soon :) That sentiment is perfect too!

  19. what a sweet card, and colored beautifully. Thanks for joining us at Card Cupids for our challenge, hope to see you again soon.

i had to laugh about the vacuum cleaner. I have two cats and they act crazy when I vacuum. One though will try and stalk it when I turn it off. It makes me laugh every time.
