Mates Share Everything!

Good morning and hope that you've been enjoying a good weekend! We've been watching bits and pieces of the Olympics and although I'm no sports expert (unless sitting at a craft table counts?) I've been blown away by the all athletes we've seen. I'm looking forward to the closing ceremony tonight - which will probably be as quirky as the opening one! And Team GB have done wonders for some British spirit!

And it's a rather drab and blustery morning here in north west UK, but I feel that I need to don the gardening gear again and head forth once more to do battle with the garden! Having been away, etc., and with the wet but mild weather we've had (plus the recent sunshine) everything in the garden is not just rosy - it's rapidly overgrown and jungle-like. I keep wondering whether it would be easier just to get it listed as 'An Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty' or hopefully find some rare amphibian lurking by the pond so that we were ordered to leave it as a nature reserve, but I have a feeling that the neighbours would object....

So, to today's card before I head out with machete.  Another recent digi purchase from the fabulous Mo Manning - I just love all these characters, so there'll be a few more cropping up in the not too distant future!

This one is called Bronte and Louis, and I just love Bronte the dog! And he smiles just like our Tilly the Dog does!  I had to add that sentiment, as that is Tilly's philosophy of life - especially if you happen to have a biscuit, toast, sandwich..... any food really, and then she's your best friend for life!

I've coloured the image with promarkers and pencils, although I think I need to practice that hair a bit! I've used Tim Holtz colour core cardstock, which distresses so well with a little sanding. I've embossed the red panel with Craft Concepts 'starry night' embossing folder and then sanded back. Then I've just added a little hessian weave for texture and some brads from my stash - and a little 'dog' button! This is probably about as CAS as I can manage!
Hope you like it!  And thank you so much for all the lovely comments you leave - they really mean so much! Back soon, Kim x

I'm entering this card into the following challenges:-
