Pink for a Baby Girl!

It's Wednesday and so that means we're half way through the week! Yippee! It's been nice to be off work today - even though the weather this afternoon was torrential rain! Good excuse to do some crafting though!
Today's card is a very pink affair!  I made this for a friend's daughter who has just had her first baby, a little girl called Grace. I posted a card here on my blog a few days ago that I'd made for my friend as she has now become a granny, but this was the card for Hannah & Adam as they welcomed Baby Grace! I can't wait to go and see her and have a cuddle!

The stamp is from LOTV coloured with promarkers and pencils.  I'm currently saving for some Copics - which I would dearly like! - but until I win one of those Lottery Millions, big purchases like that for my crafting have to be saved for! Sigh!  I'd be interested to hear what you think about Copics if you use them and how they compare to Promarkers - everyone seems to rave about them. What do you think?

The backing papers are First Edition 'Birdsong' and coredinations card. The flowers are from Wild Orchid, the lace from CardCraftUK. The flourish and hearts are Marianne dies. And that lovely sentiment comes with the baby stamp - so sweet!
Hope you like the 'vision in pink'!
Back soon, Kim x

I'm entering this card into the following challenges:-
Cardsundmore - anything goes

  3. Awww this image is just adorable and you have coloured it so beautifully. I love the sentiment and the pretty colour.
I have never tried Copics so can't really help but I know lots who prefer them as they say they blend easier.

PS: I love using Copics - I buy 2 or 3 at a time so it doesn't seem as expensive! Cult Pens are a good place to buy on-line as they offer free p&p if you spend £10 or more.

  7. Hello there fellow Pink lover. Isn't it fabulous about the launch of In the Pink? I stopped in for a closer look at your card. I'm linked at #1 this week, I'd love it if you stopped by to say hello.

Love the image on your card Kim, beautiful. Gorgeous dies used as well. I like the lace trim added to one side and the spray of flowers is so pretty. Definitely a keepsake card that will be treasured.

    Cheers,

  16. This is adorable Kim and I am sure it will be adored by Hannah and Adam. I have always used Promarkers but I know people rave about Copics, they are so much dearer though. I am not sure how fine the nibs are for the very tiny areas you need to colour. I know that they have more colours in the range. I know Spectrum Noir are not that fine and have no way of adding the fine nibs on when you want them.

  17. Beautiful baby girl card Kim. Perfect colouring and great design. I bought a few copics to see if they are different but still prefer my Promarkers and Flexmarkers. I have them all (blush) and have added fine nibs to most of the Promarkers. The Flexmarkers are the most like copics and are great for blending. I did buy most of the Spectrum Noirs but found the tops difficult to remove and ended up selling them on Ebay.

  22. Awww such a beautiful baby girl card. That LOTV stamp is lovely. You asked about Copic opinions Kim, well I brought a few before I got my Promarkers but I found that the nibs are very thick. You have the chisel end but the brush type end I found really difficult to get into small area's as they are quite bulky. That said they are lovely and juicy and have only got to see how beautifully many crafters out there use them. They were just not for me and and must say I do love my Promarkers and Flexmarkers. Maybe you could start off getting some basic colours and try them out before you go getting loads in one go. Big hugs Clare xxx
