My little tree!

Hello all and I hope that you are well and enjoying your weekend?  A warm welcome to my new follower - I can't believe I'm nearly at 200 followers and I'm so delighted that so many people have taken an interest in my little corner of Blogland.
A little overcast here today, but I don't think I'm going to get much time to relax anyway. It's that time again..... Back to School week after a (very long!) summer holiday!  I'm not sure how my son is going to cope with having to get back to 'normal' hours again and I'm bracing myself for the grumps, scowls and arguments about having to get to bed at a reasonable time and particularly about the getting up at 7am business!  During the holidays we rarely see him before lunchtime, unless I venture in to the 'pit of despair' (i.e. his bedroom) and prod the heap under the duvet!  Early morning starts are really not his favourite thing, so I'll have to resort to the usual range of bribes, nice words, threats and shouts!  Oh joy.  But I'll need to make sure that all uniform stuff is ironed and ready today (still not sure why I iron things really when most of the time it gets 'hung up' on the floor.....) and go shopping for the shipping order of bread, sandwich fillings, snacks, etc., that make up packed lunches. How he manages to eat as much as he does and yet still look like a stick insect baffles me - and it's SO unfair lol!

Anyway, before I venture towards the iron and then go shopping, I thought I'd share another Christmas card with you. I'm getting into the swing of making Christmas cards now (which is a good job as I have quite a few to make!) so expect to see various ones cropping up on the blog.

I've used one of my favourite LOTV Christmas stamps 'My little tree'.  I got a few Graph-It pens to try and I've used them on the 'greens' and 'skintones' here, the rest is coloured with copics.  I do like the Graph-It pens, the fine tip is great and they blend well.

The backing papers are from LOTV Classic Christmas pad, with kraft card. I've added some stitching and a red gingham ribbon and bow. The sentiment stamp is also from LOTV. The holly leaf die cuts are using Joanna Sheen's new Signature dies - they cut and emboss beautifully in one go! The 'holly berries' are from stash (I think they were for actually decorating Christmas wreaths!) and the cute tree charm is from stash.

And the inside decorated to match!
Hope you like the traditional reds and greens!
Enjoy the rest of your day - whatever you have planned.
Back soon,
Kim x

I'm entering this card into the following challenges:-
A Gem of a Challenge - 2 backing papers

  5. Your comment about the floor hanging made me laugh so much, my son used to do the same to the point I found stuff in the washing basket that I'd only just ironed! I refused to do any more after that and he learned to do his own washing hehe. Love your card, it's so well designed and absolutely everything pulls together for the whole theme including the inside and the little charm. Great stuff :) xx
