Ready to celebrate!

Nearly the end of January- and it seems to have been a very VERY long month! Busy at work and fed up of grey days - but it's finally payday on Friday and half term in another couple of weeks!

I got a few new digi stamps recently from LOTV and love this cute little parade!

I've coloured these cute animals with copics and pencils 

The papers are from LOTV and my stash, on Kraft card. I've added an ivy die cut, and ribbon with a cute gold fir cone charm. The sentiment tags are from LOTV.

Pretty pink birthday!

As I suspected it might be, it's been a particularly busy start to a new term at school. And an early alarm clock is definitely a shock to the system after a couple of weeks of a more gentle start to a morning!

Anyway, in an attempt to distract and de-stress, a little colouring and cardmaking was also taking place outside of work.

I'll apologise in advance for the photos- I'm getting heartily fed up of dark grey days. And when we've had any brighter moments it seems to have been when I was at work....

I've used a cute digi stamp from LOTV, coloured with copics

I embossed some pink card to make a frame to mount over it, but sadly the embossing isn't really showing in the rubbish light this morning! 

The sentiment stamp is also from LOTV and the banner die is from Hunkydory Crafts

Happy New Year!

I hope that this year is a happy, healthy and peaceful one for you! 

We had a very chilled out New Year's Eve, making the most of some winter sunshine with a beachy dog walk with family and friends (& a pub lunch! Well, it was also my birthday!), and then a takeaway later and a relaxed evening. 

And I also have a new card to share with you, using an old stamp!  This little cutie is from LOTV of course, coloured with copics and pencils 

The papers are from my dwindling stash of LOTV papers (my crafting new year wish is that they'd start manufacturing them again lol!).

I've used Spellbinder dies for the frame, Britannia dies for the flowers, Joanna Sheen dies for the leaves and a Hunkydory stamp and dies for the sentiment! A real mix!

New post before a new decade!

I felt it was definitely time for a new post on this little corner of Blogland before we enter a new decade. Can you believe it? 2020? It doesn't sound real. I hope that your Christmas was good for you. We had a very chilled out family time, which was just what I needed!

Anyway, I've still been busy with the crafting - both cardmaking and crocheting - but my job has changed a bit too, and I must admit that I've been a bit shattered over the last few weeks. Of course, I'm never at my best when the days are so short and sunshine (or even bright daylight!) is at its minimum. I'm so looking forward to lighter, longer days and keep peeking at the green shoots of daffodil bulbs starting to appear in the garden to remind me that it's just a few more weeks!

So, no more whinging, and more of the craft sharing. I dug out one of my old rubber stamps and the pens for a bit of happy time with some therapeutic colouring. I used an old Magnolia Tilda stamp, coloured with copics and pencils and then added a little bling on the crown with Stickles!

There's also a sneaky peek at another image I've started colouring lol! 

I used papers from Hunkydory Crafts and flowers from WOC. The tag die is from Joy Crafts, and the leaf dies are Hunkydory Moonstone dies. The starburst die is from Joanna Sheen. The stamped sentiment is a combination of stamps from Hunkydory

Feeling excited!

I can't believe it's October already! I'm not quite sure where the last few months went but they definitely sped past in blur! My job changed a bit this year, so when I started back at school at the beginning of September, it felt like my feet hardly touched the ground. And I've been very busy on the craft front (hence the "excited" bit in this post's title). A couple of months ago, Hunkydory had invited applications for a few new design team members and I thought I'd have a try. After using their products many times, and also being given the chance to review some of their products a few months ago, I know what good quality their crafting materials are. Anyway, cutting the waffle short, I was thrilled and excited to be invited to join their stamping design  team - yay!

I've been very busy making samples for a couple of new product launches (that I'm looking forward to sharing with everyone soon!), but I thought I'd share one of the samples I made for Hunkydory when applying for the DT!

This gift card was made using the Hunkydory stamps Beautiful Blooms - which I stamped and masked to make the little bouquet!  I've coloured these with alcohol pens and pencils.

The papers are all from the hunkydory Florabunda paper pad.

Pink Birthday!

I hope you're all enjoying some summer sunshine and a little relaxation time! I'm pleased to say that I made it to the end of term, and I'm looking forward to some extra time to catch up with friends, try and keep pace with the weeds growing like fury in the garden and definitely some crafting time!  We have quite a few birthdays over summer and this was one made recently for our daughter's birthday a few weeks ago

The gorgeous papers are from Hunkydory Crafts. I've used a Britannia flower die and a poppystamps die for the leaves. 

As these cards need to be posted, I like to make sure that they're fairly "flat" so they don't get damaged too much in the mail lol!

Special little gardener!

Well, I said I'd be back soon - bet you weren't expecting me back quite so soon! Two posts in two days - I've even shocked myself lol!

I decided to dig out a couple of 'proper' stamps from the stash. I usually tend to use digi stamps these days and rubber stamps for sentiments, but I thought it was a shame when  I've got quite a few old favourites - and the Sarah Kay ones are definitely favourites!

The papers are from the neverending stash and the sentiment stamps are from LOTV 

Not sure who this card is for yet. We have quite a few birthdays coming up so I've got to get a few cards ready!
