Still not sure about the colours.....!

Hello all and hope that your week has started well?  How come the weekend always goes so quickly? It's been a grey day here and feels a bit cooler again unfortunately - haven't put the woolies away just yet!  But after getting all the Monday jobs done (i.e. clearing up after the weekend!) I did at least manage to get a little bit of crafting done.

Just thought I'd share this card with you using a digi stamp from Wee Stamps

And I've used a green/purple colour combo - which at first seemed like a good idea but now I'm not so sure!
I've coloured the image with promarkers and flexmarkers and added some Stickles to the balloon!

And colouring this persuaded me to get a few copics because I seem to struggle with the pinks in promarkers and flexmarkers! They always seem to turn out either lilac or rather dull! I'll have a play with the copics and let you know!
The backing papers are from LOTV and K&Co. The frame is using a Marianne die, with flowers from WOC and button, twine & lace from stash.  The sentiment tags are using LOTV stamps.
But despite me not being sure about the colour combo, I still think it looks ok - but it's such a cute image anyway!
Back soon,
Kim x

I'm entering this card into the following challenges:-
WildOrchidCrafts - use twine
AllsortsChallenge - passion for flowers
WagsnWhiskers - may flowers

  1. I agree, it is a cute image Kim, but your card is definitely better than ok, it's gorgeous. Love the colour scheme and pretty flowers! I'd be interested in how you get on with the pink copics, I have quite a few red/pink promarkers, but I'm always disappointed how the colours turn out!

  2. Gorgeous card as always Kim! Love the colour combo :) Let me know how the copics go! I'm fed up with the promarker pinks, trying to get them to blend and look nice is a nightmare.

I agree with you regarding pink promarkers, I find them quite hard to blend. I will be interested to hear how you get on with Copics.

  14. This is so gorgeous Kim. I love your layout. I keep thinking about getting Copics but I have so many Promarkers and I have heard it is hard to learn the Copics colour system.

  15. Love this image Kim (have to admit have her coloured and ready to add to a card).
I love lilac and green together. Great design and layout too.
I used to have problems with promarker pinks and even more probs with lilacs but now that I have every one that is available I don't have problems very often. Have to admit the new set of 12 that they produced have some great colours for completing blending sets. Sarah Hurley also did an updated colour chart that puts the right colours together and includes all of the special sets. It's available here http://letrasetblog.com/craft/updated-colour-chart/
